고등농업교육기관에서의 IT 관련 교육 현황 분석

Analysis of the Status of IT Education in Undergraduate Agricultural Majors

지식정보사회에서 정보화가 갖는 중요성은 농업분야에서도 예외는 아니어서 농업분야에서의 IT 수요가 다양한 측면에서 발생하고 있다. 이러한 가운데 향후 농업 관련 분야에서 종사하게 될 전문인력 양성을 주된 목적으로 하는 대학의 농업 관련 전공에서는 IT와 관련하여 내실있는 교육이 이루어져야 할 필요성이 있다. 따라서 이 연구는 4년제 일반대학의 농업 관련 전공들에서 IT와 관련된 교육이 전공교과와 교양교과를 통해 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지를 분석함을 주된 목적으로 하였다. 연구 목적의 달성을 위하여 4년제 일반대학의 농업 관련 전공 설치 현황을 분석하였고, 농업 관련 전공을 설치하고 있는 대학들에 개설된 교양교과와 해당 농업 관련 전공에 개설된 전공교과를 분석하여 IT 관련 교과로는 어떠한 교과들이 운영되고 있는지를 분석하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 결론이 도출되었고, 향후 연구 결과의 활용과 후속 연구를 위한 사항들이 제안되었다.

Information technology(IT) gains more importance in the global knowledge information society. Agriculture is not free from the influence of IT and IT could be essential for the success in agriculture. Therefore, IT education should be systematically delivered to the students in undergraduate agricultural majors through liberal arts and major courses. The purpose of this article was to analyze the status of IT education in undergraduate agricultural majors in Korea. By analyzing the curricula of 278 agricultural majors, the list of IT-related subjects was extracted. The conclusions were derived from the outcomes of the study and the recommendations were proposed for the applications of the study results and future researches.
