보육교사의 놀이신념, 교사효능감이 영아존중 보육에 미치는 영향

The influence of child-care teachers play beliefs and teacher efficacy on the infant-respecting care practice

본 연구는 어린이집의 영아 보육교사의 놀이신념과 교사효능감이 영아존중 보육 실행에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해 대구·경북에 소재한 어린이집의 영아 담당 보육교사 252명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석하기 위해서 SPSS 18.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 신뢰도 검증, t검정, 일원변량분석, 상관분석, 다중회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과는 첫째, 영아교사의 근무기관 유형에 따라 놀이신념과 영아존중 보육 실행에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 놀이신념과 교사효능감 간, 놀이신념과 영아존중 보육 실행 간, 교사효능감과 영아존중 보육 실행간 모두에서 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보육교사의 놀이신념과 교사효능감이 영아존중 보육 실행에 영향을 미치고, 놀이신념이 교사효능감보다 더 의미있게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 영유아 놀이 중심인 개정누리과정과 개정표준보육과정을 전면 실시해야 하는 현 시점에서 개정보육과정의 중요 가치인 ‘영유아존중 보육 실행’이 제대로 이뤄지기 위해서는 교사가 놀이에 대한 가치와 능력을 믿고 긍정적 놀이 신념을 가지는데 도움이 되는 프로그램의 지원이 무엇보다 필요함을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to find out how child-care teachers play beliefs and teachers’ sense of efficacy affect the infant-respecting care practice. The subjects for this study were 252 child-care teachers in charge of infants at child-care centers. The research method was a questionnaire. To analyze the collected data, the SPSS 18.0 statistical program was used. A t-test and one-way ANOVA were conducted to examine differences in the level of play beliefs, teachers’ sense of efficacy, and the infant-respecting care practice depending on the background variables of the child-care teacher. The main results of this study are as follows. First, There was a difference in teachers’ play beliefs and the infant-respecting care practice according to the types of work institutions. Second, there was a significant correlation between three variables(child-care teacher s play beliefs, teachers’ sense of efficacy, and the infant-respecting care practice). Third, teachers play beliefs and efficacy had an effect on the infant-respecting care practice. This study suggests that it is necessary to have the educational programs and the teacher support measures that can increase teachers play beliefs and teacher efficacy, which affect infant-respecting care practices
