The purpose of this study was to analyze 4-H club activities in the school as perceived by the school s 4-H club teachers. The data were collected through mailed questionnaires from April 7, 2005 to May 3, 2005. Four hundred and ninety out of 1,223 questionnaires were returned and the response rate was 40.1%. The data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0 Windows, and the statistical techniques used for this study were frequency, percentages, average, standard deviation, one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA), and the t-test. The major findings of this study were as follow: ①Student s interest level and key stakeholder s preference level concerning 4-H as perceived by the school s 4-H club teachers were generally high. ② Most schools 4-H club teachers perceived that the 4-H club s mission is suitable. ③The schools 4-H club teachers chose programs based more on their own experiences and preferences rather than the student s needs. ④As the activity period was short, there were more cases where respondents became 4-H club teachers in the school because of the principal s/vice-principal s and/or colleague teacher s inducement rather than acting upon their own motivation. ⑤The ratio of the school s 4-H club teachers having training experience provided by the headquarters and/or a provincial organization was generally low, but satisfaction from training and the effectiveness of the training program as perceived by the school s 4-H club teachers who participated were high. ⑥ The school s 4-H club teachers perceived that the linkage with organizations which gave direct support to the 4-H activity was important. ⑦The school s 4-H organizational climate level as perceived by the school s 4-H club teachers were generally high. ⑧ Satisfaction and the students performances related to the activities of the 4-H were rated high by the teachers.
