The purpose of this study was to evaluate 15 specialized courses and to suggest new directions of their reorganization in Yu-Seong Life Science High School. The specialized courses were defined as curriculum for specific job area. This study was conducted through extensive review of literature, survey of teacher, a headmaster and teacher conference, and SWOP analysis. These major findings of this study were as follows. 1) It was concluded that most specialized courses were successful to improve school image, increase both teacher s and student s satisfaction, and increase student recruitment. 2) Three areas of evaluation were organization, management, and outcome of the specialized courses. The management and outcome of specialized courses were excellent, but their organization was evaluated to leave much room for improvement in education objective, curriculum organization, teacher securement, student assignment, and class organization. 3) The specialized courses have some strengths; It s easy to obtain qualification, to enter a school of higher grade, and to enter a profession relate to major. The specialized courses have some weaknesses; lack of students learning ability, a burden of experimental fee. The specialized courses have some opportunities; an enlargement of advance to own s field, an various opportunity to obtain qualification. The specialized courses have some problems; inferior home environment, uncertainty of advance to own s field. 4) Three ways to reorganize the specialized courses were to change curriculum of some specialized courses, to integrate similar courses into one, and to develop new specialized courses such as course of farm tourism, biology, social physical education.
