The purpose of this study was to determine the current performance level and the educational needs of students on learning competencies required for successful junior college education. One thousand two hundred seventy eight students from five different junior colleges were asked to rate the importance of each of 57 learning competencies and also to indicate their current level to perform each on a mailed questionnaire.
