The purpose of this study was to offer objective evidences of the effectiveness of the vocational high school education in Korea. The detail objectives were to analyze the current conditions of vocational high school education, to develop the indicators of the effectiveness on the vocational high school education, and to identify the effectiveness on the vocational high school education. This study was carried out through literature review for the internal value of vocational education and the development of the effectiveness indicators, surveys composed of 2 groups, and consultant methods by the experts. The first data were collected from 550 industrial employees and 250 managers of Small Business Training Institute at Ansan and among them 542 and 241 inventories were analyzed. The Second data were 1,245 vocational high school graduates which were listed at a Yu-hap Korean Directory and surveyed by mail. The result of this study were as follows : 1) The characteristics of Vocational Education performed by work and experience are practical, living functional, comprehensive and career exploring subject 2) The vocational high school educations were effectiveness on the field usage of knowledge and skill and the career decision making. Vocational high school graduates have a good accomplishment except possibility of promotion and creativeness in the view of managers. 3) As the result of the survey of prosperous people, people who attended vocational high school are enough to succeed in life and business in Korea. Based on the previous results, recommendations were suggested.
