보육교사의 초기 부모불안애착 및 사회적 관심, 직무열의 간의 구조적 관계 분석

Analysis of the Structural Relationship among Early Parental Anxious/Ambivalent Attachment and Social Interest on Work Engagement in Child Care Center Teachers

본 연구는 보육교사의 생애 초기 부모와의 불안애착이 사회적 관심을 매개로 직무열의에 미치는 영향을 구조적 관계를 통해 살펴보고자 하였다. 설문 조사에 동의한 보육교사 207명을 대상으로 초기 부모애착척도(Early Parental Attachment Scale: EPAS), 사회적 관심 척도(Social Interest Inventory) 및 직무열의 척도(Utrecht Work Engagement Scale)를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 그리고 Amos 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 구조모델의 적합성을 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 첫째, 보육교사의 초기 부모와의 불안애착은 사회적 관심 및 직무열의와 부적 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 어린이집 교사의 사회적 관심은 직무열의와 정적 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 초기 불안애착은 사회적 관심을 통해 직무열의에 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 보육교사의 직무 능력 향상을 위한 직무교육이나 프로그램 개발 시 보육교사의 타인에 대한 공감 및 이해, 타인 및 공동체의 복지를 의미하는 사회적 관심을 높이기 위한 노력이 필요함을 시사하는 것이다.

This study aimed to explore the structural relationship between preschool teachers’ insecure-anxious/ ambivalent attachment, social interest and work engagement, and investigate the mediating effect of social interest. The participants were 207 preschool teachers in K province who agreed to be involved in this study. Early Parental Attachment Scale (EPAS), Social Interest Scale, and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-9) were used for the survey. A hypothesized model and an alternative model were tested using structural equation modeling. The results showed that preschool teachers’ insecure-anxious/ambivalent attachment was negatively associated with their social interest and work engagement. Preschool teacher’s social interest was positively related to their work management. Preschool teachers’ insecure-anxious/ ambivalent attachment had a significant indirect effect on work engagement via social interest. Implications to enhance preschool teacher’s work engagement were discussed, highlighting the necessity for a teacher to perceive the importance of social interest.
