소규모 초등학교에서의 간학년 통합 단원 설계 및 운영

The Design of an Integrated Unit between Different Grades in a Small-Sized Elementary School

본 연구는 소규모 초등학교에서의 통합교육과정의 실천에 관한 내용을 담고 있다. 제재로는 수학 교과의 도형 단원을 선택하였으며, 연구방법적 측면에서는 교사들의 숙의와 실행연구를 통합적으로 고려하였다. 연구의 결과, 숙의를 통해 국가 수준 성취기준을 재구성하였고 통합 주제로 학교 놀이터를 선정하였다. 그리고 고학년이 공동으로 참여할 수 있는 12차시의 수업을 계획, 운영하였다. 학생 평가 결과 학생 대부분이 통합 단원의 목표를 달성한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 수업 흥미, 교사들의 참여와 역할, 그리고 통합의 수준에서의 쟁점이 드러났다. 앞으로 간학년 통합교육과정에 대한 논의의 장이 확대되기를 기대한다.

This study investigates the practice of an integrated curriculum in a small-sized elementary school. The study selected the Figures unit in math as research material and comprehensively reviewed the teachers deliberations and actions as research methodology. The findings indicate that the reorganization of the national-level achievement standards through deliberation, and the selection of school playgrounds were an integrated topic. A 12-lesson instructional plan was designed and managed to enable the joint participation of higher-grade students. The student evaluation results reveal that most students achieved the goals of an integrated unit, however, there were issues regarding the students interest in lessons, teachers participation and roles, and the level of integration. The findings of the study is expected to contribute to the expanded venue of discussions on integrated curriculum between different grades in the future.
