자폐스펙트럼 장애 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육스트레스와 우울의 관계: 장애수용의 조절효과

The Relationships between Parenting Stress and Depression among Mothers of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder: The Moderating Effects of Disability Acceptance

본 연구는 자폐스펙트럼 장애 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향에서 장애수용의 조절효과를 살펴보기 위해 수행되었다. 만 1세에서 만 19세의 자폐스펙트럼 장애 자녀를 둔 어머니를 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 총 195부의 설문지를 SPSS 25.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 자폐스펙트럼 장애 어머니의 양육스트레스와 우울의 관계에서 장애수용의 조절효과가 유의하였다. 본 연구는 자녀의 자폐성 장애로 인한 양육스트레스라는 고통이 우울이라는 심리적 어려움으로 이어지는 영향력을 줄이기 위해서 어머니가 자녀의 장애를 수용하는 것이 중요함을 확인하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 이는 자폐스펙트럼 장애 자녀를 둔 어머니를 위한 상담 및 교육프로그램 개발에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Objectives: This study examined the moderating effect of disability acceptance in the relationships between parenting stress and depression. Methods:A total of 195 questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 by collecting data on mothers with autism spectrum disorders aged 1 to 19. Results:The moderating effect of disability acceptance was significant in the relationship between parenting stress and depression of mothers with autism spectrum disorder. Conclusions:This study is meaningful in that it is important for mothers to accept their children’s disabilities in order to reduce the influence of childcare stress caused by their children’s autism disorder on the psychological difficulties of depression. This could be used as a foundation for developing counseling and education programs for mothers with children with autism spectrum disorders.
