A Literature Review on the Hand Test as a Projective Test

이 연구는 투사검사로서의 손검사에 관한 기초적ㆍ이론적 연구이다. 연구의 목적은 손검사의 이론적 연구를 통하여, 손검사의 전반적 이해를 도모하고 손검사의 특성과 의의를 밝히는 것이다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 손검사의 개발 경위, 이론적 배경, 시행 절차를 고찰하는 가운데, 손검사는 구조분석을 이론적 배경으로 하여 개발된 투사검사로서 행동 경향을 예측하는데 유효한 검사라는 것을 해명하였고, 여기에 손검사의 특성이자 독자성이 있음을 해명하였다. 둘째, 손검사의 채점 범주와 해석을 고찰하는 가운데, 체계화된 채점체계와 해석지침을 가진 투사검사로서의 손검사의 의의를 해명하였다. 결론적으로 손검사는 성격의 표층이라고 할 수 있는 행동 경향을 예측하기 위한 투사검사이자 체계화된 채점체계를 가진 투사검사로서 다양한 임상 집단에 폭넓게 사용할 수 있는 검사 도구로 확인되었다.

This study involved conducting a basic and theoretical review on the Hand Test as a projective test to identify and understand the characteristics and significance of the Hand Test by theoretical consideration of it. Below, the outcome of this study is outlined. First, the close examination of the development process, theoretical background, and administration procedures of the Hand Test showed that its development was based on a structural analysis, and that the Hand Test was a valid projective test for predicting action tendencies, highlighting the characteristics and originality of the Hand Test. Second, by considering the scoring categories and interpretation of the Hand Test, it showed that the Hand Test was a projective one with a systematic scoring system and interpretation guidelines, which underscore the significance of test. In conclusion, the Hand Test was identified as a projective test due to the ability to predict action tendencies as a surface layer of personality, and the test’s systematic scoring system, which can also be used extensively in various clinical groups.
