사이버대학의 외국대학과의 연계과정 연구

The Study on the Class of the Cyber University in Connection with the Foreign University: Based on TESOL Program at H Cyber University

본 연구는 외국 대학과 연계한 국내 사이버대학 강좌의 강의제작과 운영 현황을 살 펴보고 이에 대한 학습자들의 선호도 및 반움을 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 서울 소재 사이버대학교의 외국대학 연계과정 온라인 수업에 대하여 학습 내용, 상호 작품성, 교수-학습전략, 평가, 피드백, 저작권 등을 살펴보고 설문조사 를 실시하였다. 외국과의 연계과정은 외국대학 교수의 온라인강좌를 탑재하고 운 영은 국내 사이버대학 강의게시판에서 이루어진다. 평가는 외국대학 홈페이지에서 온라인토론이 영어로 이루어지고 나머지 출석, 퀴즈, 중간고사와 기말고사는 국내 강의게시판에서 행해진다. 학습자들은 외국대학 명의로 된 수료증 취득이 연계과 정의 가장 큰 장점이라고 여기고 있고, 전공과목의 심도 깊은 이해보다는 영어실력 의 향상이 더 큰 장점이라고 생각하였다. 모든 강좌가 영어로만 진행되고 교재도 영 어로만 되어 있으므로, 학습자들은 외국인 운영교수보다 한국인 운영교수를 더 선 호하였다. 학습자들을 도와줄 수 있는 한국어 보충자료의 제공을 제안하며, 장차 외국기관과의 연계를 통한 원격교육의 다양화를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the lecture and the management of the online class in a Korean cyber-university which is connected with a foreign university. For this purpose, the online class of a university was examined in terms of contents, interaction, strategy, evaluation, feedback, and copyright, and the students responses are analyzed. The two universities collaborated by dividing the roles of the class. That is, the professor in the university abroad lectured while the professor in the local university managed the program. The online forum was offered by the foreign university on its homepage while the other factors for evaluation such as quizzes, assignment, and tests were done on the domestic university homepage. In the questionnaire, students responded that obtaining a certificate from a foreign university was important to them and they preferred the management from a Korean professor to a native speaker of English. This is due to the fact that all the lectures are in English and the processes of login at a foreign homepage are a bit complicated. This study suggests that there should be Korean tutors or a way of help for this kind of class.
