직업계고 학점제 운영에 대한 교원의 교육요구도 분석

A Study on the Teacher s Educational needs for the Operation of Vocational High School Credit System

이 연구의 목적은 직업계고 학점제 운영 요소에 대한 교원의 중요도, 능력수준, 교육요구도를 분석하여 직업계고 학점제 운영을 효과적으로 지원하는 데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 직업계고 학점제 운영 요소를 추출하고 연구․선도학교 교원(학점제 담당교사 및 진로진학상담교사, 교장/교감)을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직업계고 교원은 학점제 운영 요소의 영역별로 중요도와 능력수준을 분석한 결과, 모든 영역에서 중요도가 능력수준보다 높게 나타났다. 학점제 운영 요소의 영역별 교육요구도는 ‘시설/공간 구축 과 ‘예산 확보 영역의 교육요구도가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 직업계고 교원은 직업계고 학점제 운영 요소에 대해 중요하게 인식하고 있으나 능력수준은 낮게 나타났다. 교실 및 실습실 확보, 학교 조직 구성 및 업무분장, 예산 확보, 개설 가능 과목 선정, 강사 채용 등에서 직업계고 학점제의 교육요구도가 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 교원 집단별 학점제 운영 요소에 대한 교육요구도는 학점제 담당교사가 높은 반면, 교장/교감과 진로 진학상담교사는 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 이에 따른 정책 제언으로는 학점제 운영에 관한 시설/공간 구축 지원 확대, 교원 인식 개선 및 역량 강화, 교원 업무와 조직 개편, 직업계고와 일반고의 학점제 정책 동반 추진 등이 요구된다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the importance, ability level, and educational needs of teachers in vocational high school’s credit system operation. To achieve these purposes, the survey was done to the vocational high school teachers. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First, for the educational needs for each area of the credit system operation factors, construction of facilities/spaces and securing of budget were high. Second, it was found out that teachers considered the factors of credit system operation importantly, but the ability level was low. The factors such as securing classrooms and laboratories, school organization and duties’ division, securing budgets, selecting the opened subjects, and hiring instructors revealed high educational needs. Third, teachers in charge of credit system had high educational needs in credit system operation factors, while those for principals․vice-principals and career counseling teachers were relatively low. Based on the results of this study, policy proposals are required to expand support for building facilities․ spaces, improve teachers’ perception, and abilities, reorganize teachers duties and school organization related to high school credit system, and jointly promote high school credit system policies for vocational high schools and general high schools.
