중학생의 부모지원과 진로성숙도 간의 관계에서 자기효능감과 자기조절전략의 매개효과: 성별에 따른 차이를 중심으로

The Mediating Effect of Self-Efficacy and Self-Regulation Strategies in the Relationship Between Parental Support and the Career Maturity of Middle School Students: Focusing on Gender Differences

본 연구의 목적은 중학생의 부모지원 자기효능감, 자기조절전략, 진로성숙도 간의 구조적 관계를 확인하고, 이들의 관계가 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지를 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구는 한국교육종단 2013의 5차년도 데이터(중학교 3학년)를 사용하였으며, 전체 연구대상에는 6,498명(남학생, 49.4%)이 포함되어 있다. 부모지원을 부모학업지원과 부모정서지원으로 구분하여 구조방정식을 통해 변인들 간의 구조적 관계를 살펴보았고, 다집단분석을 통해 성별에 따른 차이를 확인하였다. 분석결과 부모지원과 진로성숙도 간의 관계에서 자기효능감과 자기조절전략의 매개효과가 유의하였고, 이 관계에서 성별에 따른 차이가 확인되었다. 부모학업지원과 부모정서지원 모두 진로성숙도 유의한 정적인 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났고, 자기조절전략을 매개로 하여 진로성숙도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 자기효능감과 자기조절전략의 순차적 매개효과가 유의했다. 특히 부모학업지원이 자기조절전략에 미치는 영향은 남학생의 경우가 여학생의 경우에 비해 크게 나타났고, 부모정서지원에서 자기조절전략에 미치는 영향은 여학생이 남학생보다 컸다. 또한 부모정서지원에서 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향은 남학생이 여학생에 비해 유의하게 크게 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 선행연구와의 관련성과 학문적 및 교육적 시사점을 도출하였으며, 추후 연구에 대한 제언이 논의되었다.

The purpose of this study is to verify the structural relationships between parental support, self-efficacy, self-regulation strategy, and the career maturity of middle school students, and to explore whether the relationship between them differs according to student gender. This study used data from the Korean Educational Longitudinal Study 2013. Parental support was categorized into parental academic support and parental emotional support, and the structural relationship between variables was examined through structural equation modeling. Differences according to gender were identified through multi-group analysis. As a result of the analysis, in the relationship between parental support and career maturity, the mediating effect of self-efficacy and self-regulation strategy was significant, and in this relationship differences according to gender were confirmed. Based on these research results and their relevance to previous research, academic and educational implications as well as suggestions for future research are discussed.
