This study examined the impacts of depression and resilience on life satisfaction among nursing students. A descriptive correlational study was conducted. Two hundred and forty-eight nursing students were recruited from three nursing colleges in G city. The results showed that the life satisfaction of undergraduate nursing students according to the general characteristics was significantly lower in the juniors than in the sophomores and seniors(F=6.193, p<.001). After controlling for the confounders, the related factors affecting the life satisfaction of nursing students were depression(ß=-0.31, p<.001) and resilience(ß=0.42, p<.001), which explained 38.4% of the total variance. Therefore, early depression screening tests and continuous depression management should be provided for nursing students. In addition, customized interventions and strategies according to each grade level and curriculum should be developed and provided to improve students’ resilience.
