어린이집 교사의 교사학습공동체 경험의 의미 분석: 4차 표준보육과정 적용에 따른 교사 인식과 실천 변화 중심으로

Analysis of the meaning of learning community experiences of childcare center teachers: focusing on changes in teacher perception and practice following the application of the 4th standard childcare curriculum

본 연구는 4차 표준보육과정을 어린이집에 적용하면서 교사학습공동체를 운영하였고, 교사에게 있어 교사학습공동체의 경험의 의미를 알아보고, 경험이 거듭되면서 교사의 생각과 실천력에 있어 어떤 변화가 일어났는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 연구자 2명과 연구참여자 6명이 참여한 실행연구로서 연구참여교사는 대구광역시 달서구의 국공립 A어린이집의 영유아 교사였으며, 2020년 4월부터 12월까지 매월 2회씩 총18회의 교사학습공동체를 실시하였다. 4차의 실행하기-반성 및 성찰하기 등을 반복적으로 시행되었고, 교사학습공동체 회의 및 집단면담 녹음자료, 연구참여교사의 간단 저널, 연구자의 관찰자료 등을 분석하여 결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사학습공동체를 처음 시작하고 교사들은 주로 놀이중심 보육과정에 대한 의문, 새로운 시도에 대한 두려움, 단지 놀기만 하는데 배움이 일어날 수 있겠는가에 대한 의심 등이 있었으나, 교사의 개입이 줄어드는 만큼 아이들은 놀이에 더 즐겁게 참여하고 놀이가 확장되어 나타남을 확인하게 되었다. 둘째, 교사들은 교사학습공동체를 통해 이전 교사주도 계획과 실행에 대한 반성과 놀이를 통해 아이들이 배우는 배움의 다양한 요소를 발견하고 이를 공유하였다. 셋째, 4차 표준보육과정의 현장 적용을 위해 어떤 교사의 역할을 해야 하는가에 대한 고민들, 그리고 교사의 주요한 자질과 역량을 함께 공유하였다. 이 연구결과를 토대로 연구의 한계점, 의미, 향후 연구를 제안하였다.

This study investigated the meaning of learning community experiences of childcare center teachers, with the aim to determine what kind of changes occurred in the teacher s thought and practical ability as the experience continued. The subjects of this study were 6 teachers from the public a childcare center in Daegu, South Korea. A total of 18 learning communities were held twice a month from April to December 2020. Recorded materials for teacher-learning community meetings and group interviews, simple journals of participating teachers, and observational data of researchers were analyzed. The derived research results are as follows. First, the young children enjoyed the playtime, with the play expanding as teachers overcame their intial doubts and fears towards the play-centered childcare curriculum. Second, it was discovered that teachers reflected on previous teacher-led plans and implementations and there are various elements of learning that children can learn through play. These findings were shared amongst the teachers within the community. Third, teachers shared about the major qualities and competencies of teachers. The study concluded with discussion of limitations, meanings, and further required research.
