The Relationship Between the Creative Teaching Behavior and Factors of a Preschool Teacher: Work Environments and 5-Personality Elements of Kindergarten Teachers

본 연구는 보육교사의 직무환경, 성격요인과 창의적 교수행동 간에는 어떠한 관계가 있는지 살펴보고, 보육교사의 직무환경 및 성격요인이 교사의 창의적 교수행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 서울 및 수도권, 충남 지역의 보육교사 260명을 유의 표집하여 설문조사를 실시하였고, 최종 239부가 분석에 사용되었다. 자료분석을 위해 평균, 표준편차, 상관분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육교사의 직무환경, 성격요인, 창의적 교수행동의 일반적인 경향을 알아본 결과, 보육교사의 직무환경은 보통 이상으로 나타났고, 성격요인 중 친화성이 가장 높고 신경증이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 창의적 교수행동에서는 개방성과 모호함의 허용이 가장 높고, 집중하여 과제수행하기가 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 직무환경 및 성격요인과 창의적 교수행동 간의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 보육교사의 직무환경 및 성격요인은 창의적 교수행동과 유의한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보육교사의 직무환경 및 성격요인이 창의적 교수행동에 미치는 영향력을 살펴본 결과, 직무환경 중 전문적 성장기회가, 성격요인 중 신경증, 성실성, 개방성이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 유아의 창의성과 밀접하게 관련되어 있는 보육교사의 창의적 교수행동을 신장시키기 위해서는 교사의 전문성을 신장시킬 수 있는 직무환경을 조성해야 하고, 교사가 안정적이고 개방적인 성향을 가질 수 있도록 지지해주는 것이 중요함을 시사한다.

This research aims to figure out the relationship between creative teaching behavior and factors of preschool teachers such as job environment and the big five personality elements. We also investigate how job environments and personalities affect the creative teaching of pre-preschool teachers. We surveyed 260 preschool teachers in Seoul and the Chungnam region using significant sampling with 239 questionnaires. First, the general group who joined the survey tends to have moderate job environments, high affinity, and low neurosis in the job environment and personality section. Also, they have high openness and ambiguity but low attention on performing homework in the creative teaching behavior section. Second, the results to investigate the relationship between the factors of the preschool teacher and creative teaching behavior show that there is a relevance between the factors and the behavior. Third, the results show that chances to have a better career in the job environment section and specific personalities such as neurosis, openness and sincerity have the most meaningful effect on creative teaching behavior. Therefore, to develop creative teaching behavior for the creativity of infants, we need to enhance job environments that can develop teachers’ professionalism and encourage teachers in having stable and open personalities.
