대학 PBL에서 문제특성이 PBL 학습활동에 미치는 영향

The Effects of the Problem’s Characteristics on PBL Learning Activities in University’s PBL

본 연구의 목적은 대학 PBL(Problem Based Learning) 수업에서 PBL 문제특성이 PBL의 주요 학습활동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구를 위하여 A대학교에서 운영한 PBL 12개 강좌를 수강한 400명의 학생을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시하였다. 유효한 응답자 총 218명에 대하여 기술통계, 신뢰도 분석, 중다선형 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, PBL 문제특성 중 ‘사고촉진성’은 개인학습을 제외한 문제분석 및 계획, 팀학습, 해결안도출, 성찰 활동에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, PBL 문제특성 중 ‘실제성’은 5가지 모든 학습활동에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, PBL 문제특성 중 ‘주제통합성’은 PBL의 학습활동 중에서 팀학습을 제외한 4가지 학습활동에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과는 첫째, PBL에서 문제를 개발할 때 ‘실제성’이 중요한 문제특성임을 시사하며, 둘째, ‘사고촉진성’은 개인학습보다는 팀학습과, ‘주제통합성’은 팀학습보다는 개인학습과 더욱 관련된 문제특성임을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to explore how the PBL((Problem Based Learning) problem characteristics affect the learning activities of PBL in university’PBL. For this study, online questionnaires were conducted for 400 students who took 12 PBL subjects at A University. A total of 218 valid respondents were subject to descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, multiple linear regression analysis. The findings of the study are as follows. First, among the characteristics of the PBL problem, ‘thinking promotion has been shown to significantly affect ‘problem analysis and planning’, ‘team learning’, ‘solution derivation’, and ‘reflection’ except ‘individual learning’. Second, among the characteristics of the PBL problem, ‘realistic’ has been shown to have a significant impact on all five learning activities. Third, among the characteristics of the PBL problem, ‘subject integration’ was found to have a significant impact on four learning activities except ‘team learning’. These results suggest that first, ‘realistic’ is an important problem characteristic in developing problems in PBL, second, ‘thinking promotion’ is related to ‘team learning’ rather than ‘individual learning’, and ‘subject integration’ is related to ‘individual learning’ rather than ‘team learning’.
