From May 2018 to December 2019, The Video Nystagmography was performed on 1,450 outpatients who complained of dizziness at the Jeonnam O Hospital dizziness Center. There were 496 patients diagnosed with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) by the semicircular canal. The significant correlation between the prognostic factors and increased the number of treatments were identified in 222 patients, except in case the cause of BPPV is unknown. The Post Traumatic (p=0.002), metabolic Disease (p=0.006), Headache (p=0.009), Cerebral Small-Vessel Disease (p=0.012), Cerebral Infarction (p=0.012), and Vesibulopathy (p=0.005) among the casual relationship of BPPV were detected at p<0.05, which was significantly correlated with canalith repositioning maneuver (CRM). In conclusion, to increase the probability of success of CRM, The position of otolith must be accurately diagnosed through a video nystagmography. Through the treatment that produces BPPV, The CRM, which suitable for the diagnosis and the treatment considering the prognostic factors will reduce the pain to the patients who are suffering from dizziness and prevent a recurrence of it. In the future, This study would like to research exact causality with more information about factors whose prognostic factors and number of treatments do not show causality.
