중서부지역 진변한계 철기의 변화와 철생산

Changes and Iron Production of Jin-Byeonhan Ironware in Midwest Region

원삼국시대 중서부지역에는 진변한계로 보이는 철기가 토광묘와 주구토광묘에 다량으로 부장되는 것이 확인된다. 중서부지역의 분묘에서 출토되는 철기의 성격을 두고 철모를 통해 동남부지역에서 유입되었다는 의견과 철장검을 통해 서북부지역이나 산동지역에서 유입된 철기가 중서부지역에서 자체 제작되었다는 의견 등이 혼재되어 전개되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 중서부지역 분묘에서 출토된 철기의 현황을 정리하여 진변한계(辰弁韓系) 철기를 확인하고, 중서부지역의 진변한계 철기와 동남부지역의 철기를 비교 검토하여 진변한계 철기의 성격을 파악하였다. 중서부지역의 진변한계 철기는 철단검과 철장검, 철모 등이 있으며 철단검의 검파도 확인된다. 진변한계 철기가 중서부지역에서 확인되는 요인은 철기만이 아닌 진변한계 와질토기와 동물형대구 등의 진변한계 물질문화의 유입과 관련 있다고 보았다. 특히 기존의 연구결과에서 중서부지역 철모는 동남부지역과 공통된 철모를 사용하는 단계와 그렇지 않은 단계로 구분이 된다. 이러한 철모의 변화요인을 기존의 연구에서는 경주지역 중심의 철 생산에서 김해지역의 철 생산이 추가됨에 따른 결과로 보았으나, 본 연구에서는 중서부지역 철 생산관련 유구의 검토를 통해 서기 2세기 후엽~3세기대 정련로와 제련로가 확인되고 있기 때문에 자체적인 철 생산과 연계하여 변화가 발생하는 것으로 보았다. 이러한 양상은 서기 3세기대가 되면 중서부지역 분묘에서 진변한계 유물이 거의 확인되지 않고 단경호와 발형토기가 부장되는 것과 동일한 맥락이라 할 수 있어 철기만 진변한계 유물을 지속적으로 부장하는 것은 분묘유물의 변천과도 맞지 않다고 생각된다. 그렇기에 자체적인 철 생산과 철기의 형식 변화가 연동되어 발생한다고 보는 것이 타당하다고 본다.

In the mid-western region of the Three Kingdoms period, it is confirmed that ironware, which seems to be the limit of Jin and Byeon, was buried in a large amount in the Togwang tomb and Jugu Togwang tomb. Given the nature of iron ware excavated from tombs in the Midwest region, opinions that it was introduced from the southeast region through a helmet and that iron ware introduced from the northwest region or Shandong region through iron swords were manufactured by themselves in the Midwest region are being developed. Therefore, this study summarizes the current status of iron ware excavated from tombs in the Midwest region, confirms the true and Byeon limit iron ware, and compares and reviews the Jinbyeon limit iron ware unearthed in the Midwest region and the iron ware in the Southeast region to determine the characteristics of the Jin and Byeon limit iron ware I figured it out. There are iron daggers, iron long swords, and helmets, and detection of iron daggers is also confirmed. The factors identified in the Midwestern region of the Jin-Byeon-han-gye ironware were not only related to the influx of Jin-Byeon-limited material culture such as Jin-Byeonhan-gye wajil pottery and animal-shaped cod. In particular, according to the existing research results, the helmets in the midwest region are divided into a stage that uses a helmet common to the southeast region and a stage that does not. In the previous study, the factors of changing helmets were viewed as a result of the addition of iron production in the Gimhae region from the iron production centered in the Gyeongju region, but in this study, through the review of the remains related to iron production in the midwest region, from the 2nd century AD to 3rd century AD. Since smelting furnaces and smelting furnaces in the century are being identified, it is considered that changes are occurring in connection with their own iron production.
