유아역사교육의 연구동향 분석: 2001∼2020년 국내 학술지 논문을 중심으로

Analyzing Research Trends in Early Childhood History Education: Focusing on Korean Academic Journals from 2001 to 2020

본 연구의 목적은 유아역사교육에 대한 최근 연구동향을 분석하여 유아역사교육의 성과와 제한점을 파악하고, 앞으로 보완할 부분에 대한 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2001년부터 2020년까지 국내 학술지에 게재된 유아역사교육 관련 논문 31편을 대상으로 연구주제, 연구방법을 중심으로 분석하였다. 분석된 자료는 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다. 이에 따른 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구주제의 경우, 프로그램/활동 개발 및 효과연구가 가장 많았으며, 다음으로 인식 및 실태, 이론 고찰에 관한 연구의 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 연구방법은 양적연구가 가장 많았으며, 다음으로 동일한 편수의 질적연구와 문헌연구, 그리고 혼합연구의 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 양적 연구 경향성의 의미와 한계, 그리고 유아역사교육의 이론의 발전 방향에 대해 논의했다.

This study analyzed recent research trends in early childhood history education using 31 articles published in Korean academic journals between 2001 and 2020. There were two categories of anlaysis: research topics and research methods. The study had the following findings. First, the development of teaching and learning programs, and their effectiveness, were the most frequently addressed topics. This was followed by teachers and parents perceptions of early childhood history education and teaching practice, and theoretical approach. Second, quantitative research was the most common method, followed by qualitative research, literature research with the same number of studies, and mixed research. This study discussed the implications and limitations of this quantitative research trends and proposed that further studies be conducted.
