In recent years, municipal solid waste (MSW) is one of the most serious problems in the world because the quantity of MSW is rising significantly in industrialized and developing countries bringing into question its sustainable treatment management. The desire to protect the environment has resulted in the development of various technologies such as incineration, gasification, biogas production and utilization in a combined heat and power plant. Of these techniques, gasification is an attractive way to treat MSW with fewer pollution emissions in contrast to other treatment methods. In particular, gasification technology is currently receiving a lot of attention in relation to carbon neutrality in terms of its ability to produce chemical raw materials. The major components obtained from gasification of waste are CO, H2, CO2, N2, and CH4. Therefore, in this work the separation characteristics of syngas from waste gasification was studied using integrated process composed of pressure swing adsorption (PSA) and the polyamide composite membrane.
