운동선수 인권향상을 위한 스포츠 지도자의 바람직한 역할 탐색

Exploring the desirable role of sports leaders to improve the human rights of athletes

본 연구의 목적은 운동선수의 인권향상을 위하여 스포츠현장의 실태를 알아보고, 이에 따른 지도자의 바람직한 역할에 대해 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 주목하는 스포츠 현장에서 지도자의 모습은 선수와 상호작용하여 체계적이고 전문적인 지식과 지도자로서 인성, 품격을 갖춰야 하는 역할로 선수와 팀을 위해 끊임없는 생각하는 역할이다. 스포츠 현장에서의 문제점은 지속해서 제기되어 왔지만 사후대처나 해결을 위한 법률 등이 신설된 것은 최근에서야 구체적으로 진행되었다. 이에 따라 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 선수인권 보호를 위한 지식과 정보습득을 위해 노력해야 한다. 둘째, 선수와의 신뢰감 형성을 위한 상호작용에 힘쓴다. 셋째, 폭력 및 성폭력 행위를 하지 않는 것이 중요하며, 예방하려는 노력이 필요하다. 넷째, 운동 뿐 아니라 선수 개인의 학업 및 일상생활에 대해서도 적극적인 관심을 가진다. 본 연구를 통하여 스포츠 현장에서 인권에 대한 문제를 이해하고 지도자 역할에 대한 가치와 중요성을 인식하고 스포츠 현장뿐만 아니라 국가에서도 적극적으로 나선다면 선수들의 인권은 더욱 향상될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the actual conditions of sports field and explore the desirable role of leaders in order to improve the human rights of athletes. The leader in the sports field, which was noted in this study, is the role of interacting with athletes in various ways, having to have systematic and professional knowledge, and constantly thinking about directions for athletes and teams. Exploring the role of sports leaders accordingly led to the following conclusions: Firstly, they should pay attention to knowledge and information for the protection of athletes human rights, and make efforts to acquire it. Secondly, they must work on mutual communication to build trust with players. Thirdly, it is important not to engage in violence and sexual violence, and efforts are needed to prevent it. Lastly, they must care not only exercise, but also the individual s academic and daily life of the athletes. Through this study, athletes human rights could be further improved if they understand human rights issues in the sports field, recognize the value and importance of leadership roles, and actively participate in the country as well as in the sports field.
