창업가 기초역량이 창업가 직무역량을 매개로 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

A Study on the Mediated Effects of Entrepreneur’s Job-based Competence between Basic Competence and Corporate Business Performance

본 연구에서는 정부의 창업확대 정책과 창업 인구 증가 기조와는 반대로 창업기업의 폐업 또한 증가하는 혹독한 현실 속에서 성공적으로 기업을 영위하기 위한 창업가의 필요 역량군을 살펴보고, 창업가의 창업기초역량이 창업직무역량을 매개로 경영성과에 미치는 전반적인 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 현재 사업체 운영 중인 573개 창업가를 대상으로 2020년 10월 19일∼10월 28일까지 설문을 시행했다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 창업가 기초역량을 독립변수로, 경영성과를 종속변수로 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 기초역량은 경영성과에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 창업가 기초역량이 매개변인인 창업가 직무역량에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 분석적 사고와 관계역량이 직무역량의 모든 하위역량군에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 창업가 기초역량과 경영성과 사이에서 직무역량이 매개효과를 보이는지 분석한 결과, 기초역량의 하위역량군인 분석적사고역량만이 재무성과와 비재무성과 모두에서 직무역량의 매개효과가 발견되었다. 본 연구는 우후죽순처럼 생겨나는 신생 창업기업들이 한때의 유행처럼 얼마 못 가 폐업의 길을 걷게 되는 현 실태를 타개하고, 지속적인 경영성과 창출로 성공적인 기업으로 도약하기 위해 창업가가 어떠한 역량을 갖추고 대비해야 하는지 실증적 연구결과를 제시했다는 점에 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this thesis is to dig into the mediated effect of entrepreneur’s job-based competence between basic competence and business performance. We conducted on-line and off-line survey targeting 573 entrepreneurs from October 19th to 28th, 2020 to collect the data for their influencing factors on running their companies. The findings of this studies are as the followings. First, there was a statistically significant factor between entrepreneur’s basic competence and their business performance. Second, only analytical competence and relationship competence which are the sub factors of basic competence had a statistically significant effect on entrepreneur’s job-based competence. Third, we found a mediated effect of entrepreneur’s job-based competence between analytical competence and business performance. The results of this study can show what the most important competences are for newly founded companies, and many emerging entrepreneurs can refer to the results of this study for running their companies successfully, and pave the way for establishing long-lasting corporate DNA.
