본 연구는 성인기 성소수자들의 사랑경험을 통한 삶의 적응과정을 탐색해 보기 위한 목적에서 실시되었다. 이를 위해 10명의 성소수자를 인터뷰하여, 그 자료를 근거이론을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 총 111개의 개념과 39개의 하위 범주, 18개의 상위 범주를 도출하였다. 과정분석에서는 축코딩에서 도출된 중심현상을 다뤄 나가는 작용/상호작용 요인의 시간의 흐름에 따라 성소수자들의 사랑 경험을 통한 삶의 적응과정이 어떻게 이뤄지는지를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 총 6단계를 도출하여 ‘세상 눈치보기’, ‘커뮤니티 서핑하기’, ‘타협하기’, ‘사랑에 몰입하기’, ‘진짜와 가짜를 구별하기’, ‘부딪히기’ 과정을 제시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 이제까지 국내 연구에서 밝히지 못한 성인기 성소수자들의 사랑 경험을 통한 삶의 적응과정에서 드러난 독특한 결과를제시하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 선행연구와의 비교분석을 제시하고, 상담자로 성찰해 보아야 할 점 및향후 연구해 나가야 할 주제 등을 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the adaptation process of sexual minorities. For this purpose, interview were conducted with 10 sexual minorities. The collected data were analyzed using a Grounded Theory. As a result, 111 concepts, 39 sub categories, and 18 essential categories were derived. Through process examination, sexual minority go through 6 stage, ‘watch the world’, ‘online community surffing’, ‘’compromising’, ‘immersed in live’, ‘distinguish between real sexual minority and fake sexual minority’, ‘battering’. Based on this result, a unique result revealed in the process of adaptation to life and love of adult sexual minorities. For example, it was able to reveal issues of love and dating violence of sexual minorities. The results of this study were compared with previous researches, and the newly discovered points and future research topics and points to be considered in clinical field were discussed.
