본 연구는 대중의 참여가 확장되고 있는 미디어 시대의 미술비평에 대한 심층적 이해를 제공하기 위하여 인터넷 공간에서 대중이 미술에 대한 자신의 생각을 표출하고 실천하는 방식을 탐구하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 전통과 전위, 엘리트주의 예술과 대중이 충돌하였던 한 서예 전시를 통해서 온라인 커뮤니티 안에서 네티즌이 미술 비평에 참여하는 방식의 특성과 과정을 세밀하게 탐구하고자 하였다. 이를 위한 본 연구의 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 온라인 미술비평의 개념과 특징은 무엇인가? 둘째, 전위적인 전시가 네티즌에 의해 어떻게, 왜 부정되는가? 셋째, 온라인 미술비평의 실천 과정은 어떻게 전개 되는가? 본 사례연구의 대상은 2018년 5월 중국의 C 도시에서 유명한 서예가 Y의 개인전이 중단된 사건으로, 중국의 대표적인 온라인 인터랙티브 플랫폼을 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 연구 결과로 ‘추서(丑书)’의 개인전 중단에 영향을 준온라인 미술비평의 양상을 시간에 따른 진행 과정에 따라 ‘정서적 보이콧’, ‘반지성적 경향의 미술 부정’, ‘이원 대립적 미술비 평’의 주제로 도출하여 논의하였다. 본 연구는 대중의 미술비평을 통한 예술 실천의 양상을 심층적으로 분석하고 이를 통해 확장된 미술비평교육의 필요성을 확인하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of the masses participating in art criticism in the media era, with the intention of the masses express their views of arts on the internet and explore the fulfillment methods. Therefore, through a calligraphy exhibition, discussed the characteristics and process of netizens participation in art criticism in the online community. The research subject of this study is as follows. What are the concepts and characteristics of online art criticism? Why and how do netizens deny avant-garde exhibition? How to carry out the practice process of online art evaluation? As time goes by, the research results mainly focus on the themes of ‘emotional expression and resistance’, ‘art negation with anti-intellectual tendency’, and ‘dual opposition art criticism’. This research confirms the necessity of this expanded art criticism education, which is of great significance.
