SNS 상에서 중학생이 사용하는 댓글의 내재적 의미 탐구

An Inquiry into the Intrinsic Meanings of Middle School Students` Replies on SNS

이 연구는 학생들의 댓글 속에서 발견되는 동기들을 유형화하고, 그 유형화된 동기 속에 숨겨진 그들만의 의미를 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 중학교 3학년 학생들 중 SNS상에서 활발하게 활동하고 친구들간에 서로 댓글을 자주 남기는 무리 30명의 학생들로부터 얻어낸 댓글들과 면담, 대상집단 면접 결과 중 유의미한 자료들만을 수집하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 중학생들이 SNS에서 사용하는 댓글의 유형을 자기표현적 댓글, 대인관계적 댓글, 오락적 댓글로 유형화하였다. 자기표현적 댓글의 유형으로는 방송하기, 자기고백하기, 허세부리기가 있었다. 대인관계적 댓글의 유형으로는 아부하기, 친한척하기, 관계 형성하기가 있다. 오락적 댓글의 유형으로는 비꼬기와 따라하기가 있었다. 학생들의 댓글 속에는 어른들이 쉽게 감지하기 어려운 심오한 내용이 숨겨져 있다. 따라서, 이 연구의 연구결과를 활용하면 앞으로 어떠한 사건이나 이유로 학생들의 댓글을 분석해야 할 경우가 생겼을 때 유용한 분석틀로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

This study aimed to categorize the motives in students` replies on SNS and to find their intrinsic meanings. 30 nine-graders were selected who replied frequently to their friends` comments on the internet. This study collected and analyzed their replies and focus-group interviews were performed. The types of replies could be sorted into three categories: self-expression, inter-personal relation, and amusement. Type of self-expression includes broadcasting, self-confession, and bluffing. Broadcasting is to inform something related to oneself to everyone openly. Bluffing is to showing off one`s being different and special from others. Type of inter-personal relation replies includes flattering, pretending intimacy, and relationship-building. Flattering is com-plementing on each other`s comments and posts. Pretending intimacy is a function that emphasizes the acquaintance with a person, playing to be close to him or her. Type of amusement includes being sarcastic repeating. Being sarcastic is to enjoy oneself on SNS by replies sarcastic to their friends` posts and comments. Repeating is a function used to have fun by vopying someone`s posts and comments. Repeating is a function used to have fun by copying someone`s comment of modifying slightly it. This study found out that the students` replies have somewhat deeper and inner meanings difficult to be detected for grown-ups. The result of this study could provide an analytical framework for those who want to analyze the youngsters` comments and replies on SNS.
