수학교구 활용에 대한 연구 분석-탱그램

A Study on the Utilization of Mathematical Manipulatives

본 논문에서는 초등 예비교사들이 수학적인 아이디어를 교구를 활용하여 추상화로 어떻게 유연하게 이끌어갈 것인지에 대한 구체적인 아이디어를 줄 수 있도록 선행연구물을 분석 정리한다. 특히 초등수학교육에서 가장 많이 연구 분석된 탱그램을 중심으로, 지난 20년간 국내 학술지와 학위논문에서 수학 개념 학습에 어떻게 활용되는지를 알아본다. 탱그램은 도형 활동을 위한 대표적인 조작교구이지만 선행연구에서 볼 수 있듯이 수연산 및 기타 영역에서 활용되는 등 다양한 목적으로 사용된다.

In this paper, we analyze and organize previous studies on manipulative materials like as a tangram to give elementary school pre-service teachers specific ideas on how to connect mathematical concepts into abstraction. In particular, we will focus on the tangram, which has been studied and analyzed the most in elementary mathematics education, and find out how it was used to learn mathematical concepts. Although a tangram is a typical manipulative material for shape activities, it can be used in other areas such as basic arithmetic operations, as confirmed in previous studies.
