배스 루어낚시 여가갈등 이해 및 건전한 여가활동으로의 방향성 탐구

Understanding Leisure Conflicts of Bass Lure Fishing and Exploring the Direction to Desirable Leisure Activity

다양한 여가활동 중 낚시는 해수면, 내수면의 지형적 장점을 가지고 있는 우리나라의 대표적인 여가활동으로 자리매김하고 있다. 내수면에서 행해지는 배스 루어낚시는 스포츠낚시의 대표적인 유형으로, 젊은이들 사이에 유행이며, 급속한 대중화를 이루고 있다. 하지만 배스 루어낚시인의 증가와 함께 환경적, 생태계적 문제, 법 제도적 문제, 여가갈등이 발생하고 있다. 배스 루어낚시 관련 여가갈등에 대한 선행연구는 많지 않으므로, 본 연구에서는 배스 루어낚시의 현황을 살펴보고 배스 루어낚시 인구의 증가와 함께 발생하고 있는 여러 문제점, 여가갈등의 현황을 조사, 분석하였다. 심층면담을 통해 배스 루어낚시인들이 겪는 여가갈등을 구체적으로 파악하였다. 심층면담 결과, 배스 종에 대한 부정적 인식, 잡은 후 놓아 줌 행위에 대한 부정적 인식, 여가낚시 행위에 대한 정당성 부재로 인한 사회규범 갈등이 존재하였으며, 배스 루어낚시인과 어업종사자, 지역주민 간의 대인관계 갈등이 확인되었다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 여가갈등 이해를 토대로 배스 루어낚시가 건전한 여가 활동으로 발전할 수 있는 방안을 여러 측면에서 제언하였다.

Among various leisure activities in Korea, where advantages topographical features of sea water and fresh water resources, fishing is an annually growing leisure activity that has huge population and industries. Among different fishing genres, bass lure fishing requires dynamic actions and is booming among young people in Korea. However, environmental, ecological and institutional issues occur with the increase in the number of bass lure anglers. Since there are not many studies on leisure conflicts related to bass lure fishing, this study examined and analyzed various problems and leisure conflicts arising in Korea. As to understand the details of leisure conflicts regarding bass lure fishing, this study conducted in-depth interviews. Consequently, negative recognition on bass lure fishing, ambiguity on “catch and release” action, and absence of fishing right were the social value conflicts which were prevailing. Moreover, interpersonal conflicts between bass lure anglers and other interest groups such as fisherman, local residents were surging. This study tried to find fundamental causes, and seek solutions for the conflicts.
