영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 공감능력과 행복감의 관계에서 가족건강성의 매개효과

Mediating effect of family strengths on the relationship between empathy and happiness of mothers with infant children

본 연구는 영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 공감능력과 행복감의 관계에서 가족건강성의 매개효과를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 G시 소재의 어린이집에 재원 중인 영아반 어머니 211명을 연구대상 으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 program을 사용하여 신뢰도 분석, 기술통계, 상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였으며 매개효과의 통계적 검증을 위해 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 공감능력과 가족건강성, 공감능력과 행복감, 가족건강성과 행복감은 모두 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 공감능력과 행복감의 관계에서 가족건강성은 부분매개 역할을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 행복감을 높이는데 어머니의 공감능력과 가족건강성을 높일 수 있도록 지원하는 것이 중요함을 시사하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of family strengths on the relationship between the empathy and happiness of mothers with infants. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 211 mothers with infants in childcare centers located in G-city, Gyeonggi-do. as the subjects. The collected data was analyzed through reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 21.0 program. The Sobel test was performed for the statistical verification of the mediating effects. The results of the study found that there was a significant positive correlation between empathy, happiness, and family strengths; family strengths had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between empathy and happiness. Results of the study suggests that it is necessary to support mothers’ empathetic capabilities and improve family strengths in order to increase the mothers’ happiness.
