비행입문과정 학생조종사의 상황대처능력과 비행성적의 관련성 연구

A Study on the Relationship of Situational Coping Ability and Grades of Student Pilot on the Introductory Flight Training Course

본 연구는 공군 비행입문과정 학생조종사를 대상으로 상황대처능력이 비행훈련 결과와 어떠한 관련이 있는지 분석하였다. 상황대처능력을 측정하는 20개 문항을 사용하여 2014∼2016년 훈련에 참여한 438명에 대하여 분석을 실시하였고 연구결과, 6개의 문항에서 상황대처능력에 따라 비행성적의 차이가 나타났다. ‘반응시간이 빠른 편이다’ 문항은 다른 모든 문항들과 유의하게 관련이 나타나 상황대처능력의 핵심적 특성인 것으로 나타났으며 ‘배우는 속도가 빠르다’와 ‘분위기 파악을 잘 한다’ 문항을 포함하는 모형은 비행성적을 8% 설명하였다. 문항반응에 따라 비행훈련 수료결과에 차이가 나타는지 분석한 결과, ‘상황대처 능력이 있는 편이다’는 긍정반응인 경우가 기대 빈도보다 수료가 더 많았고 부정반응은 재분류가 더 많았으며, ‘급하면 일이 엉망이 된다’ 문항에 대한 반응은 긍정반응이 기대빈도보다 재분류가 더 많았고 부정반응은 수료가 많았다. 따라서 인지와 행동을 모두 포함하는 지필지각검사 방식이 조종적성 측정에 유용한 방법이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

This study analyzed the relationship of situational coping ability and grades of student pilot on the introductory flight training course. I used questionnaire items for situational coping ability of student pilot which can measure pilot aptitude. Survey was conducted using 20 items for 438 student pilots on the introductory flight training course as subject. The results of the ANOVA showed that the situational coping ability had significant effects on the grades of the flight training course. As a results of the regression analysis, the model for situational coping ability accounted for 8% of flight training grades. And the results of Chi-test showed that the situational coping ability had significant effects on the completion of the flight training. This is also a result of the fact that existing paper-pencil test can predict the grades and discriminate the flight training completion status.
