대학 신입생 대상 학사지도교수의 자질과 보살사상

Quality of Academic Advisor for Freshmen and Bodhisattva Thought

본 연구의 목적은 대학 신입생을 대상 학사지도교수의 역할과 자질, 그리고 그 자질을 갖추기 위한 수행방법으로의 보 살사상과 보살행을 살펴보는 것이었다. 학사지도교수는 대학에 입학하는 신입생을 대상으로 신입생들의 대학생활 적응과 성인 입문기의 발달적 과업을 완수 하는 일을 돕기 위해 도입된 학사지도를 담당하는 역할을 한다. 그 역할을 수행하기 위해 갖춰야 할 자질들은 <무조건 적 긍정적 존중><공감과 수용><진실성><지식과 역량><내외적통제력><자기혁신>등이었다. 이런 자질은 깨달음을 얻었지만 중생을 구제하기 위해 현세에 머물며 중생의 고통을 함께 나누는 불보살의 모습과 닮아 있었다. 불교의 보살행인 바라밀행은 학사지도교수의 자기성장과 인격도야에 도움을 줄 수 있는 실천수행 방법이었다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the role and qualities of academic advisors for freshmen and the practice of Bodhisattva as a method of fulfilling these qualities. The academic advisor is responsible for the new students entering the university to help them prepare for college life and complete the developmental tasks of the adult introductory period. The qualities needed to fulfill the role were <Unconditional Positive Respect> <Empathy and Acceptance> <Truthfulness> <Knowledge and Competence> <Internal and External Control> <Self Innovation>. These qualities gained enlightenment, but resemble the image of a fire bodhisattva who shared the pain of rebirth and stayed in temporal life to save rebirth. Paramita for Bodhisattva to practice was a method of practice that could help the self-growth and character of the academic advisor.
