원불교의 새로운 종교교육 비전: 성찰과 전망

A new vision for Religious Education in WonBuddhism: focused on it’s reflection and prospect

이 논문은 한국종교교육학회 창립20주년(2015)을 맞이하여 원불교의 종교교육 접근의 제 성과를 돌아보고 앞으로 비전을 제시하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 그간의 연구 활동과 공교육 및 사회적 확산 등의 제반 활동을 중심으로 결과를 분석하고 이를 기반으로 비전을 제시한 바그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 종교교육학의 학문적 정체성을 보다 명료히 하면서 공동연구 및 학제간 연구를 제안해본다. 둘째, 학문공동체에서 종교교육 일반에 적용 가능한 이론과 실제를 탐구하는데 보다 균형을 이룬 다양한 연구가 수행되길 기대한다. 셋째, 연구결과의 사회적 확산 보급에 대한 노력을 보다 강화할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 연구방법론의 정교화이다. 종교교육학 연구의 지형을 한 단계 제고하기 위해서는 인문학적 연구 외에도 질적 연구, 양적 연구 등 연구 주제에 따라 다양한 접근 방법이 보다 정교하게 수행될 필요가 있다. 다섯째, 연구 인프라의 확충이다. 학문공동체의 연구가 활발하게 진행되려면 함께 공유되어야 할 인적, 물적 기반의 확충이 절박하다. 특히 종교교육 관련 인적 자원의 확충, 사회적 공감대 형성을 위한 S/W의 개발을 비롯하여 최근사회적 이슈로 등장된 인성교육에 대해서 대상별 다양하면서도 적용 가능한 인성교육 프로그램을개발, 보급하는 과제를 안고 있다. 끝으로 평생교육의 관점에서 종교교육을 접근 필요성을 제기해본다.

This study is aimed to retrospect the academic activities and present the vision of Religious Education, seeing Association’s 20th anniversary come around. For this I‘d like to analysis the academic activities from establishment of this association to nowaday and based upon those I am going to present the vision for this Association and WonBuddhism as follows. First, it should be clear the academic identity and for better development clear the research object as good as variety of research themes. Second, it needs to keep the balance between theoretical and practical approach among academic community. Third, it need to make a better effort to spread out of research out put to society. Fourth, it need to elaborate the research methodology. Fifth, Extending the research infra-structure. Finally I am going to present the some tasks as follows for the WonBuddhism. 1. Furthermore, it need to extend the human resources for the study of religious education. 2. For the develop the soft ware, it need to invest the material and manpower, most of all, feel social sympathy. Recently it need to respond the social needs how to band with Human nature education, adjustable program for each ages. At the end, It need to take a life long education approach to Religious education. Because Life long Education paradigm rationalize the extending the approach basically includes school education, home and social education and also all life span.
