방유룡 신부의 수덕(修德)교육

Virtues Education of Fr. Yoo-Ryong Bang

본 연구는 방유룡 신부의 수덕교육을 연구하는데 목적이 있다. 종교생활을 하는 사람은 자기가 신봉하는 종교 교의에 맞게 생활해야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 종교인다운 삶의 태도를 지녀야 하므로 덕이 있는 사람이 되어야 한다. 가톨릭교회에서는 성경에 근거하여 하느님을 섬기는데 필요한 덕, 즉 대신덕인 신덕, 망덕, 애덕을 가르치고 있다. 이를 초자연 덕, 향주삼덕이라고도 한다. 그리고 인간이 윤리생활을 바르게 영위하면서 하느님의 뜻에 합당한 생활을 하게 하는 윤리덕, 즉 대표적으로 사추덕인 지덕, 의덕, 용덕, 절덕을 가르치고 있다. 이를 자연 덕이라고도 한다. 물론 이외에 다른 여러 가지 덕이 있다. 이러한 덕들은 완덕을 추구하는데 중심을 두고 있다. 완덕은 그리스도를 그 완성과 목표로 바라보면서 이웃에게도 애덕을 실천하는 것이다. 그러나 문제는 완덕이 저절로 도달되는 것이 아니기 때문에 수덕이라는 문제가 대두된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 방유룡 신부의 수덕론에 입각하여, 완덕으로 가는 길로서의 침묵을 논하게 되는 수덕교육이 될 것이다. 침묵에는 외적침묵, 내적침묵 그리고 영혼침묵이 있으므로 그에 맞는 수덕교육이 있어야 한다. 수덕교육은 종교교육에서 빼놓을 수 없는 중요한 주제이다.

We have to send forth the smell of virtue. Fr. Yoo Ryong Bang believes that blessings follow virtues, while calamities follow sins. A mind is clear without sin and the light appears when an evil desire is controlled. If we are unselfness, desireless and selfish, we can achieve unity Jesus. The point of a compass are east, west, south and north And the point of virtue are wisdom, justice, courage and temperance. The virtues are the express way of inside. Faith, hope and love are transcendental virtues. By which we believe in the Lord, hope of him and love of him. The three virtues of faith, hope and love are great, and the greatest of the three is the virtue of love. The commandment are an external silence on which internal silence exerts an influence. What is inside ourselves is bound to be disclosed outward. To those who practice internal silence, the external looks calm and everything is interesting. The more silence our soul observes, the brighter the light shines. Virtue education is important for religious education.
