기후 관련 초등학교 및 중학교 과학 교과서 단원에 제시된 시각 자료의 종류, 역할 그리고 사회-기호학적 특징의 비교분석

A Comparative Analysis of the Types, Roles and Socio-Semiotic Features of Visual Materials in Climate Related Units of Elementary and Middle School Science Textbooks

본 연구의 목적은 초·중학교 과학 교과서의 기후 관련 단원에서 시각 자료의 특성을 조사하는 것이다. 기후관련 단원의 초등학교 5학년 ‘날씨와 우리 생활’, 초등학교 6학년 ‘계절의 변화’, 중학교 3학년 ‘기권과 날씨’에 담긴 시각 자료를 대상으로 종류(6가지), 역할(5가지), 사회-기호학적 특정(3범주, 7가지)의 3가지 특성으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 이를 통해, 시각 자료의 특성을 초등학교 5학년과 6학년, 중학교 출판사별, 초등학교와 중학교로 비교하고, 각각의 차이점에서 변화 원인을 파악하여 시각 자료의 특성에 영향을 주는 요소를 확인해 보고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of visual materials in climate related units of the science textbooks of elementary and middle school science. Based on the visual materials of the climate related unit, we selected ‘Weather and Our Lives’ in the 5th grade, ‘The Change of Seasons’ in the 6th grade, ‘Abstention and Weather’ in the 3rd grade of middle school. Also we classified Types (6 types), roles (5 types), and socio-semiotic features (3 categories, 7 types) about visual materials and analized these. Through this, the characteristics of visual materials were compared with 5th and 6th grades of elementary school, each middle school publisher, and elementary and middle school, We will try to identify the factors that affect the characteristics of visual materials by identifying the cause of change in each difference.
