한국 신종교의 이상적 인간관

한국의 신종교는 조선후기 정치ㆍ경제ㆍ사회적 혼란기에 출현한 종교들이 그 시원을 이루고 있다. 이는 신종교의 지도자들이 기존 사회의 지배이데올로기에 대한 강한 비판의식과 함께 이상사회의 건설을 위한 사회변혁의 필요성을 강하게 느낄 수 밖에 없었던 점을 그 배경으로 한다. 이와 아울러 인간을 해석함에 있어서 인간존엄성의 기본 사상에 바탕한 새로운 인간 관념을 제시함으로써 인간존재에 대한 변화된 인식의 틀을 제공하게 된다. 이러한 이상사회와 이상적 인간에 대한 종교적 주장은 결과적으로 이를 신앙하는 민중들에게 대망의 종교적 이상사회를 그리게 함으로써 질곡의 삶 속에서도 포기하지 않는 강한 생명력을 가지게 한 것이다.

The new religion in modern time of Korea have been developed in several directions during almost 100 years. Tracing back to their origins, they are considered to be formated in primary concepts and thoughts of many religions emerged from the latter period of time in Cho-Sun Dynasty that had been fallen into utter confusion. Their religious background would be deeply related with the strong critical view of their leaders on ruling ideology in society at its time. Furthermore, There had been raising a large range of the necessity of the changes for the establishment of an ideal society. Under the desire about the building up an ideal, it is very important to bring on the new concept of human being on the basis of the fundamental idea on the dignity of human nature on the purpose of offering the model of knowledge and thoughts about human being. The religious assertion on the ideal concepts about human and society eventually provided people with the significant life force due to the intense ardent toward a religious ideal.
