해체가정에서 자란 한 어머니의 삶의 의미에 대한 생애사 연구

A Life History Study on the Meaning of a Mother’s Life From a Broken Family

본 연구는 해체가정에서 자란 한 어머니의 생애사 연구를 통해 열악한 환경 속에서 아동에서 노년에 이르는 인생을 살며 찾게 되는 삶에 대한 의미를 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 해체가정에서 성장하고 결혼 후 가정을 이루고 살아온 한 어 머니를 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 연구방법으로는 생애주기와 경험을 탐구하기에 적합한 생애사 연구를 선택하였다. 삶의 이야기를 펼쳐내고 이를 분석하는 방법으로 Mandelbaum(1973)의 생애사 연구 분석틀로 접근하였으며 삶의 영역(dimensions), 전환점(turnings), 적응(adaptation)의 주제를 체계적으로 분석, 기술하여 삶의 의미를 찾고자 하였다. 연구 결과 연구 참여자는 어린나이에 가정해체의 생애 사건을 겪고도 긍정적으로 살아가기 위해 노력하며 자신의 인생에 삶의 의미를 부여하며 삶의 가치를 발견한다. 또한 생애 과정을 통해 자신의 삶을 인정하고 의미와 가치를 부여함으로써 살아갈 수 있는 힘을 만들었으며 용서와 화해를 통해 삶의 의미와 가치를 만들어 나갔다. 해체가정에서 성장하여 힘든 삶을 살아왔지만 인생의 힘들고 어려운 고비마다 삶의 의미를 부여하며 살아온 생애사에 의미가 있다. 인간은 자신의 삶에 어떠한 의미를 갖고 사는지에 따라 그 사람의 인생은 근본적으로 달라진다. 그러므로 앞으로 해체가정에서 성장한 청소년에게 관심을 갖고 그들의 심리적 지지와 치료 및 인성교육을 할 수 있는 노력을 해 나갈 필요가 있다.

This study aims to determine the meaning of a mother s life who grew up in a broken family. Families are considered to be basic units of human life. Children are born within the structure of a family, grow up into adults, men and women get married and give birth to children, and this family composition allows individuals to develop as mature adults. However, the number of broken families is increasing due to divorces, separation, abandonment, and death. This disrupts the regular family composition. Being a part of a broken family can lead to low self-esteem and, emotional disabilities, and it can make individuals more susceptible to danger or problems. The results of this study ares as follows: Although the participant grew up in a broken family, she attempted to find meaning in her life and maintained a positive attitude even while facing hardships. Through the lifetime process, she admits her life and makes power to live by giving meaning and value to her own life. Moreover, she created the meaning of life and value through forgiveness and reconciliation. She also looked back to past incidents with a present sight of view and independently organized her life herself.
