상생․효율․행복을 추구하는 마을교육공동체 Pride장안 도시 맞춤형 방과후학교 운영

Introduction to City-Customized After-School Model of Seongnam Jangan Elementary School

이 글은 성남장안초등학교의 도시 맞춤형 방과후학교 운영 사례를 소개한다. 성남장안초등학교는 2014학년도에 대한민국 제6회 방과후학교 대상(大賞)을 수상한 학교이다. 성남장안초등학교는 방과후학교의 질적 성장과 효율성의 증대를 위해 7개의 전략을 시도하였고, 학교, 학부모, 지역사회 세 주체가 다음 세대 교육을 위해 서로 협력하는 도시 맞춤형 방과후학교 운영에서 그 대안을 찾고자 하였다. 그 결과 방과후학교 교육에 대한 만족도가 높아져서 참여율이 증가하였고, 가정의 사교육비 경감에도 기여하였다. 이와 같은 성남장안초등학교의 사례는 학교, 학부모, 지역사회가 상생, 효율, 행복을 추구하는 마을교육공동체로서의 가능성을 보여주었다는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다.

This paper introduces a case of the city-customized after-school model of Seongnam Jangan elementary school, which has received the 6th Korean after-school education award in 2014. It made an effort to implement 7 strategies in order to improve quality and efficiency of after-school programs, and found a resolution at the city-customized after-school model which emphasizes intimate cooperation among school, parents, and community. In result, the satisfaction level of after-school and the rate of student participation got higher, and the cost of private education was decreased. The case of Jangan is significant to imply a possibility of regional education community based on cooperative living, efficiency, and happiness.
