이신칭의에 대한 고찰: 로마서 1:1-17을 중심으로

A consideration about justification by faith: Focused on Romans 1:1-17

로마서의 주제는 전통적으로 ‘이신칭의’라는 데에 학자들이 의견의 일치를 보이고 있다. 이 연구는 1:1-17 단락을 세 단락으로 구분하여 살펴보고, 그 결과 로마서의 주제가‘이신칭의’임을 재확인하였다. 먼저, 첫째 단락 1:1-7은 상세한 설명을 곁들여 예수 그리스도의 사도 된 자신을 소개하고 전형적인 방식으로 독자에게 인사를 하고 있다. 둘째 단락 1:8-15은 바울 자신이 로마 교회 방문하기를 간절하게 소원했음에도 불구하고 방문이 지체된 것에 대해 설명하고 있다. 셋째 단락 1:16-17은 로마서의 중심 주제 부분으로 복음에 대해 설명한다. 복음에 대해 인간은 믿음으로 반응해야 구원에 이르게 된다. 의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 사는데, 이는 ‘이신득의’를 강조하는 동시에 믿음과 순종을 결합시킨다.

Traditionally a lot of scholars have agreed with that theme of Romans was ‘justification by faith’. We analyzed 1:1-17 into three parts and study about each part. As a result, we found that theme of Romans was ‘justification by faith’ too. First part was 1:1-7. There Paul introduce himself, and have greetings. Second part was 1:8-15. There Paul explained the hesitation of visiting Rome church so late. Third part was 1:16-17. And there Paul explained theme of Romans that was ‘justification by faith’. Humans should accept the Gospel and believe. That is the only way to save the life. The Righteous will live by faith, this emphasize ‘righteousness by faith’, and combine faith and compliance.
