불안하고 공격적인 아동의 놀이와 상담자의 역전이 사례연구

Case Study of Anxious and Aggressive Child’s Play and Counselor s Countertransference

본 연구는 불안하고 공격적인 아동의 놀이치료 과정에서 경험된 상담자의 역전이를 대상관계이론의 관점에서 살펴보고자 한다. 아동의 공격적 태도와 상담자의 역전이 감정이 맞물려 어떠한 갈등을 유발했는지를 이론적 고찰과 더불어 놀이치료 사례를 중심으로 설명하였다. 사례는 불안하고 공격적인 아동이 모와 관계에서 경험한 자신의 무능력한 이미지를 나타내는 과정을 다루고 있다. 사례에서 아동은 통제받고 싶지 않은 마음에 따르는 공포감을 상담자에게 공격적으로 표현하는 것으로 해소하려고 하였다. 아동의 마음속 깊이 자리한 두려움과 불안, 시기심과 무능력감을 놀이치료 과정에서 드러내며 불안을 담아주는 상담자와 관계를 통해 점차 자신의 내면에 좋은 것을 발견할 수 있게 되었다. 이를 바탕으로 놀이치료 과정에서 나타난 상담자의 역전이가 어떻게 치료적 개입에 도움을 주었는지를 이해하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the countertransference of counselors experienced in the process of play therapy for anxious and aggressive child from the perspective of object relations theory. This study focused on the case of play therapy along with theoretical considerations on what kind of conflicts were caused by the interaction of child’s aggressive attitudes with the counselor s countertransference emotions. The case deals with the process by which an anxious and aggressive child displays the image of his incompetence experienced in the relationship with his mother. Through play therapy, children s feelings of fear, anxiety, envy, and incompetence are exposed deep in the child s mind, and through a relationship with a counselor who contains anxiety, he is gradually able to discover the good in himself. Based on this, we try to understand how the counselor s countertransference in the process of play therapy helped the therapeutic intervention.
