The Relationship between Adult Attachment and Smartphone Addiction: The Mediation Effect of The Emotional Dysregulation

이 연구는 성인을 대상으로 성인의 스마트폰 중독 경향과 애착불안, 애착회피의 사이에서 정서조절곤란의 매개효과를 살펴보고, 성인의 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향에 대해 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 직장인, 대학생, 주부 422명이 성인애착 척도, 정서조절곤란 척도, 스마트폰 중독 척도에 응답한 자료를 토대로 중다회귀분석을 실시하고, 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 정서조절곤란의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 마지막으로 매개효과의 유의성은 Sobel Test로 검증하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 연령 결혼 여부 여가시간은 스마트폰 중독 경향에 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 성인의 애착불안과 애착회피가 스마트폰 중독 경향과 정적 상관관계를 갖고 있고, 스마트폰 중독 경향과 정서조절곤란도 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 셋째, 애착불안과 스마트폰 중독 경향 사이에서 정서조절곤란이 부분 매개하였다. 이 연구는 스마트폰 중독 경향이 청소년기와 초기성인기(대학생)뿐만 아니라, 성인기 전반에 존재하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 성인기 스마트폰 중독 경향에 성인애착이 영향을 미치며, 두 변인의 사이에서 정서조절곤란의 매개효과를 검증하고, 정서조절곤란과 스마트폰 중독 경향의 관계를 확인했다는데 의미가 있다.

The purpose of this study was verified the mediating effects of emotional dysregulation between adult attachment and smartphone addiction. For this research, a sample of 422 employees, university students, and housewives were asked to complete the questionnaires that measured adult attachment scale, emotional dysregulation scale, and smartphone addiction scale. Based on the relevant data, the multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis confirmed the mediating effect of emotional dysregulation. The signi-ficance of the mediated effect was verified by the Sobel Test. As a result in the first, adult attachment had a positively correlation to smartphone addiction, and smartphone addiction had a positively correlation to emotional dysregulation. Second, the emotional dys-regulation was partially mediated between attachment anxiety and smartphone addiction. This study is meaningful to confirming that smartphone addiction tendency exist not only in adolescents and early adulthood, but also in middle-aged adults.
