저소득층 조손가족 조부모의 손자녀 양육경험과 목회적 돌봄

A Study on Care–giving Experience of Low Income Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and Pastoral Care

본 연구의 목적은 저소득층 조손가족 조부모의 손자녀 양육경험의 본질적 의미를 현상학적 방법론을 적용하여 밝혀냄으로써 그들의 경험을 있는 그대로 이해하는데 있다. 이를 위해 6명의 65세 이상의 조손가족 조부모들을 대상으로 심층면접을 하였고, Giorgi 분석 절차에 따라 분석한 결과, 18개의 하위 구성요소, 최종적으로 6개의 구성요소가 도출되었다. 도출된 구성요소는 ‘떠맡겨져 시작된 손자녀 양육’, ‘양육의 열악한 현실’, ‘내적 자원’, ‘사회적 지원’, ‘헌신적 돌봄’, ‘삶의 통합’으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 조손가족 조부모들을 위한 목회적 돌봄을 제언하였다. 본 연구는 조손가족 조부모의 양육경험에 대한 질적 연구로서 사회적으로나 교회적으로 소외되어 있는 조손가족 조부모들의 삶에 대한 한국교회의 관심을 높이는데 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the essential meaning of the care–giving experience of low income grandparents raising grandchildren in Seoul by phenomenological approach. In–depth interviews were conducted with 6 grandparents over 65–year–old who are nurturing their grandchildren. The result of this study is deducted to 18 lower component factors and 6 comprising factors ultimately. Deducted elements are ‘raising grandchildren by undertaking’, ‘inadequate reality of nurturing’, ‘internal source’, ‘social support’, ‘devoted care’, ‘integration of life.’ The findings suggest that pastoral care is necessary for grandparents raising grandchildren. This article discusses about the care–giving experience of grandparents to help arousing interest of Korean church on societally alienate grandparents.
