도박중독자 아내가 경험하는 심리적 현상

A Study on the Psychological Phenomenon of Pathological Gambler’s Wife

본 연구는 도박중독자 아내의 결혼생활에서 나타나는 심리적 현상에 관한 연구이다. 연구를 통하여 도박중독자 아내의 결혼생활에서 나타나는 심리적 현상에 대한 본질을 제시함으로써 도박중독자 아내와 그 가족의 심리적 회복에 기여하고자 하는 목적을 지니고 있다. 자료 수집은 2011년 6월부터 2013년 4월까지 실시하였으며, 연구 참여자는 총 6명이었다. 자료 수집은 연구 참여자와의 일대일 면담을 통해 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 Colaizzi의 현상학적 방법을 적용하여 분석했다. 연구 결과 117개의 의미 있는 진술이 확인되었으며, 36개의 주제와 9개의 주제군, 4개의 범주로 도출되었다. 도출된 4개의 범주는 ‘무지에서의 동거’, ‘남편 중심성’, ‘분노의 활성화’, ‘자기주장적 책임성’으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해서 도출된 주제들은 도박중독자 아내의 결혼생활 과정에서 겪는 심리적 현상의 ‘본질’을 심층 이해하는 데 중요한 자료를 제시했다고 할 수 있으며, 도박중독자 아내들에게 목회적·상담학적 도움과 돌봄의 필요성, 결혼위기를 극복하는 데 필요한 프로그램 개발과 교육자료 정보제공의 필요성을 제안했다.

This study is about psychological phenomenon in the marital life of pathological gambler’s wife. The purpose of this study is to help the pathological gambler’s wife and her family to recover psychologically showing the true nature of the problem that occur in her marital life. Period of data acquisition has been from June 2011 to April 2013 and there were 6 research participants. Collection of materials are gathered through a face to face personal interviews with the participants. Gathered research materials are analyzed by applying the method of Colaizzi. As a result of this study it has been verified 117 significant statements, and 36 themes were drawn from those statements, then clustered into 9, and then categorized by 4. The categories include; ‘Living together ignorantly’, ‘Husband centered’, ‘Activation of resentment’, ‘The manifestation of responsibility.’ The resulted themes of this study has shown important data to understand deeply the ‘essence’ of psychological phenomenon of pathological gambler’s wife in her marital life. It has offered her the help and care of pastoral counseling and developed programs. It also has provided education materials and informations to overcome the marital crisis.
