초월상담과 자기심리학의 주요 구념의 관계에 대한 구조방정식모형 분석

SEM Analysis on the Relation of Main Constructs of Transcendental Counseling and Self Psychology

본 연구에서는 Kohut의 자기심리학과 김용태가 개발한 초월상담의 통합적 연구를 위하여 구조방정식모형을 이용한 연구를 수도권과 영남지역의 대학교에 재학 중인)80명의 학생들을 대상으로 수행하였다. 이론의 주요 구념들의 관계를 파악하기 위하여 자기대상경험과 영성, 자기수용, 자기애, 그리고 수치심의 다섯 변인을 택하여, 구조방정식 연구모형을 세우고 자기대상경험이 수치심에 미치는 직접적인 영향력과 영성과 자기애, 그리고 자기수용의 매개효과를 알아보았다. 또한 연구모형에서 5개 변인간의 9개의 경로와 7개의 가설을 설정하여 변인들의 인과관계와 경로분석을 SPSS를 이용하여 시도하였다. 분석 결과, 자기대상경험과 수치심 사이에서 영성, 자기애, 그리고 자기수용이 매개변인의 역할을 한다는 가설과 자기대상 경험이 수치심에 간접적으로 영향을 미친다는 가설이 성립함을 보였다. 이 결과는 초월상담의 이론적 토대가 되는 영성, 자기수용, 수치심의 구념들이 자기심리학의 기본 구념인 자기대상경험과 자기애와 밀접한 관계가 있을 뿐 아니라 상담현장에서 통합적인 활용이 가능함을 보인다.

This study aims to integrate transcendental counseling and Kohut’s self psychology through empirical studies on the basis of literature studies. We choose 5 main constructs of self psychology and transcendental counseling theory such as ‘selfobject experience’, ‘spirituality’, ‘self acceptance’, ‘narcissism’, and ‘shame’ to search for the relation of these 5 variables. We set a research model using Structural Equation Model(SEM) and analyze it with SPSS. In this research model, the path coefficients of selfobject experience → shame and spirituality → shame are not signigicant. Hence Hypothesis) and) are not accepted. However not only the other path coefficients but also the mediating effects are significant, and hence the other Hypothesis 3–7 are accepted. This empirical result implies that the constructs of transcendental counseling theory such as spirituality and self acceptance are significantly related with the basic constructs of self psychology such as selfobject experience and narcissism.
