The research shows that the emotion of guilt is psycho-spiritual from the integrative perspective of theology and psychology. The emotion of guilt is generated by violating the standards of God which are religiously objective and declarative. The range of guilt covers from communal liability through individual and motivational attitude. When a person accepts the communal liability as personal responsibility of violating God’s standards, the person experiences the emotion of guilt. In this sense, the emotion of guilt is enacted by the motion of faith. Therefore, the emotion of guilt is psycho-spiritual. Both theology and psychology agree that the emotion of guilt is related to a psychological trait of perfection. From the theological perspective, the emotion of guilt comes out of the perfectionistic tendency which is originated from the image of God. From the psychological perspective, the emotion of guilt comes out of the psychological traits of superego, ideal self, and self actualization. The emotion of guilt is originated from the perfectionistic tendency.
