The Effect of Group Occupational Therapy Program on Depression and Activities of Daily Living in Hemiplegic Patients

연구목적 : 본 연구는 편마비 환자를 대상으로 집단 작업치료 프로그램을 적용하였을 때 우울, 일상생활활동 수행능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법 : 10명의 편마비 환자를 대상으로 집단 작업치료 프로그램을 주 5회 8주간 30분씩 실시하였다. 대조군은 일반적 작업치료에 참여하였다. 프로그램 영향을 분석하기 위해 우울, 일상생활활동 수행능력을 사전-사후 평가하였다. 연구결과 : 각 집단 내 중재 전&#61600;후 측정 사이에 우울과 일상생활활동 수행검사에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<.05). 또한, 집단 간 중재 후 측정 사이에 우울과 일상생활활동 수행검사에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<.05). 결론 : 집단 작업치료 프로그램이 편마비 환자의 우울을 감소시키고 일상생활활동 수행능력을 향상 시키는데 긍정적인 도움을 주어 편마비 환자의 치료 프로그램으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 보여진다.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of group occupational therapy program on depression and activities of daily living with hemiplegic patients. Methods : 20 subjects who selected on the basis of the screening criteria were divided into the experimental group (n=10) who underwent the group occupational therapy program and occupational therapy and the control group (n=10) who underwent a general occupational therapy. Each intervention consisted of a 30-minute session a day, five times a week, for eight weeks. In order to measure functions, CES-D and MBI were used before and after the treatment intervention. Results : We found significant differences for the CES-D, MBI between pre-test and post-test in the 2 groups. Also, CES-D and MBI were significant different between the groups at groups at post-test. Conclusion : The findings of this study suggest that group occupational therapy program can be applied as a useful approach for hemiplegic patients.
