This article deals with an understanding of shame with a different perspective from the current understanding of shame. Until now, shame used to be understood as a sociopsychological emotion. Relatively, the theological studies of shame have not yet well studied. This writer tries to understand shame with the integrative perspective of socio- pychological perspective and theological perspective. From the integrative study, shame is clearly the sociopsychospiritual emotion. The emotion of shame remains in the intrapsychic mind and reflects the tendency of perfection which is one of the psychological traits. It also arises when one tries to conform oneself to the social standard. It also reflects the image of God which is the preexperiential quality given by God when Adam and Eve were created. From the sociopsychological perspective, human has the psychological tendency of shame proneness which is developed through the internalization of perfect relationship with parent. It reflects the theological perfection of the image of God. In other words, theological perfection is the base of the shame proneness to create a certain psychological trait.
