The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between God s image and depression in Christian college students, distinguishing by sub-domains according to the difference in sex indicating the relation to God s image. For this study, the subjects were 286 college students in H-university in P-city. Seventy-two items of Lawrence s God Image Scale, adapted by Hwang Hye Lee in 2003 and the Adjective Scale for God, used by Park Min Soo in 2000 and developed by Gorsuch, were administered. Beck Depression Inventory (adapted by Lee Yong Ho and Song Jong Yong in 1991 and revised by No Eun Yei in 1997) was also administered to investigate the degree of their depression. SPSS (Statistics Package Social Science) 10.0 program was administered for analysis. As an analysis tool, Pearson s Correlation was used to find out the relationship between God s image and depression. Additionally, to examine the difference between God s image and depression in sex T-test was administered. The results of this study were like the following: First, the relationship among college students depression was significantly different. That is, we have come to the conclusion that the more the subjects experience and look at God positively, the higher the subjects sense of attachment, goodness, and sense of control of God grow and the lower their level of depression is. Second, there was no difference in God s image in sex by personality sex, but in relation to depression there was difference by sex. There was no difference between God s image and depression in the grade. These research results are good practical data, which present a new way of looking at how counselors should approach and take a view of the problems in Christians. This gives the reason to say that this is a meaningful research.
