Exploration of Authentic Assessment Criteria for Backward Design

백워드 설계는 교육과정 설계를 바라보는 새로운 관점으로 교사들의 많은 관심을 이끌고 있다. 그럼에도불구하고, 이 설계이론의 핵심 개념인 참평가에 대한 논의는 상대적으로 부족하였다. 따라서, 이 연구에서는 백워드 설계를 위한 참평가의 준거를 도출하여 적용해 보고자 하였다. 이 연구의 결과로 여섯 가지의 준거가 도출되었는데, 그것은 학습의 기회 제공, 실제 맥락의 반영, 구체적인 평가 기준의 제공, 관찰 가능한 결과, 학생의 헌신 이끌기 등 이었다. 이러한 연구의 결과는 교사들에게 백워드 설계의 구체적인 방향을 제시함과 동시에 이론의 현장 확산을 위한 시사점을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이다.

As a new perspective viewing the curriculum design, the backward design is drawing lots of attention from the teachers. Nevertheless, the discussion on the authentic assessment, which is core concept of this design theory, has been relatively insufficient. Therefore, this study intended to draw and apply the criteria of authentic assessment for backward design. As a result of this study, 6 criteria were drawn, which are provision of opportunity for learning, reflection of actual context, provision of specific assessment criteria, visible outcome, leading the student s devotion. The results of this study can present the specific direction of backward design and at the same time, provide the teachers with implications to expand the theory in the field.
