이큐레이션(E-curation) 역사 수업 - 『유년필독』을 중심으로 -

E-curation History Class - Focusing on Yunyeonpildok -

AI가 산업의 중심에 서는 새로운 세상을 준비하는 새로운 교육 방법으로 본연구자는 이큐레이션이라는 수업 모델을 제안한다. 이큐레이션은 데이터 리터러시, 디지털 리터러시, 도메인 지식이 한데 어우러져 작동하는 디지털 데이터 내러티브로 educational curation의 합성어이자 electronic curation의 합성어이다. 이큐레이션의 장점은 개인적으로는 AI 역량의 기본이 되는 데이터 리터러시와 디지털 리터러시를 최대한 활용하여 마치 큐레이션을 하듯이 쉽게 학습자가 미개척분야에서 도메인 지식을 축적해가면서 동시에 학습 몰입도 및 학업 성취도를 최대한 끌어내 미래 역량을 준비할 수 있다는 점이다. 그리고 집단적으로는 이큐레이션의 결과물이 모두에게 공유되어 데이터 순환의 장을 만들게 된다는 점도 간과할수 없다. 게다가 온라인 수업에 적합하다. 온라인에서 이큐레이션의 결과로 게시된 네트워크 그래프를 보고 다른 연구자가 수정을 요청할 수도 있고 데이터를 추가할 수도 있다. 이큐레이션은 개인 학습자 중심의 교육 방법을 넘어 커뮤니티 중심의 데이터 지향성을 갖기 때문이다. 이번 연구는 『유년필독』이라는 사료를 연구 소재로 삼아 시뮬레이션 수업을 만들면서 역사학과 교육학의 입장에서 디지털 데이터 내러티브인 이큐레이션이수업에서 활용되는 모습을 보여주고 그 역할과 효과를 탐색해보는 것에 목적을 두었다. 가상의 수업 학습자 A, B, C가 『유년필독』 관련 도메인 지식을 쌓아가며 이를 이큐레이션으로 네트워크 그래프를 만들고 합쳐 분석하고 디지털로 전환한 디지털 북 『유년필독』을 연동한 결과 이들은 『유년필독』의 저자가 현채 외에 안중식, 이도영까지 모두 3인이었을 것일지도 모른다는 가설에 대해 디지털 데이터 내러티브하는 가운데 이 3인의 근대성 경험이 『유년필독』에 반영되었고, 이것이 현채의 근대 계몽적 글로뿐만 아니라 안중식, 이도영의 근대적인 사실적 삽화로도 표현되었다고 결론내렸다. 시뮬레이션 수업 결과 학생들은 데이터를 탐색하면서 즉각적으로 궁금한 점에 대해서 도메인 지식을 쌓았고 특히 데이터와 데이터가 연결되는 새로운 접점에서는 그 즉시 새로운 도메인 지식을 쌓을 것으로 예상되었다. 그리고 서로의 결과를 공유하며 데이터의 선순환을 이룰 것으로 기대되었다. 시뮬레이션 수업에서 도출된 학생들의 의견은 어디까지나 잠정적인 것이며 교사에 의해 평가되고 보완되어야 이큐레이션은 종결된다. 그리고 교사에게도 역시 전문적인 도메인 지식, 디지털 데이터 리터러시 활용 능력과 관련해서 동료 교사들이나 상위 기관 교원들과의 협업이 중요해졌다. 이번 연구가 이큐레이션의 가이드북으로 활용되기를 바란다.

In preparing for the society where AI serves as an industrially fundamental factor I suggest E-curation. It is a new means of educational approach which operates as digital data narrative consisting of data literacy, digital literacy, and domain knowledge standing for educational curation and electronic curation. E-curation allows individual students(/researchers) to be ready for the capacity necessary in the future, make use of basic AI skills such as data literacy and digital literacy, and fully get academic involvement and achievements in their study, simultaneously accumulating domain knowledge. Besides, it invites every one to where the results of E-curation are shared and a data- circulation community is built. What is more, E-curation suits online class. Some researchers can require for correction and add more data when studying network graphs as a result of E-curation published on the websites as E-curation is community-oriented not individual student-driven. The purpose of this paper is to show how E-curation can be used in history class from the historical and educational perspective, and I composed a simulation class in which three students research into ‘Yunyeonpildok’ published in 1907 with one teacher in order to prove how effectively E-curation can develop students’ digital data narrative. Three virtual students study domain knowledge about ‘Yunyeonpildok’ and make network graphs by way of E-curation. They analyze the data which the book contains by creating network graphs. They connect the finds to the digital ‘Yunyeonpildok’ they created themselves and make a hypothesis that ‘Yunyeonpildok’ could be written by not only Che Hyeon as already known but also Jungshik Ahn and Doyoung Lee. According to their hypothesis, their experiences on modernity could be reflected on ‘Yunyeonpildok’ and Che Heyon’s modernity-enlightening writings and illustrations whose realistic modernity derived from Jungshik Ahn and Doyoung Lee influenced ‘Yunyeonpildok’, which, however, is nothing but one of the possible conclusions and should be verified by teachers or experts. In E-curation teachers also cooperate with other colleagues and college professors with regards to domain knowledge and digital data literacy.
