Ethics and Responsibility in Social Work Research

연구윤리는 이제 더 이상 학자들만의 것이 아니다. 연구의 과정과 결과가 일반사회에 미치는 영향이 지대하기 때문에 생명과학을 비롯한 사회과학에서의 연구도 윤리를 바탕으로 한 연구여야 함이 강조되고 있다. 이에 인간존중을 학문의 기본가치로 삼고 인간과 사회를 연구해온 사회복지 분야에서의 연구 윤리에 관해 논하였다. 바람직한 연구를 실천할 것인가 아니면 책임있는 연구를 수행할 것인가의 논의를 비롯한 연구윤리의 철학적 배경과 패러다임을 논한 후, 외국의 연구윤리제도를 소개하고, 한국의 연구윤리 환경적 문제인 해이한 의식수준과 제도의 미비를 논한 다음, 연구윤리 이슈를 검토하고, 이틀 안에서 사회복지(학)계의 과제 - 연구윤리패러다임의 설정, 연구윤리 규정의 제정, 연구윤리위원회의 구성, 연구윤리교육의 실시, 그리고 task force team의 구성과 운영 - 를 제안하였다.

This Study is about research ethics. The researchers are required to conduct a research in a socially responsible manner with research ethics and integrity. And it is also true for social work researchers. In social work, researchers and practitioners conduct a research and deliver a social service based on ethics and values, such as human dignity and human rights. Thus, this study focused on elaborating philosophy and paradigm of research ethics, introducing research ethics policies in other countries, reviewing the environmental problems on achieving the research ethics, discussing the issues of research ethics, and suggesting the tasks for achieving research ethics, such as setting a research ethics paradigm, formulating rules on research ethics, constituting a research ethics committee, and implementing education on research ethics. And on top of it for now, it is strongly recommended to set up a task force team in social work field to begin all the activities mentioned above.
